HOW COOL IS THAT | JANUARY 2018

We bring you each month our coolest places to go, food we love and experiences we enjoy. We will also share with you news about inspiring artists, designers and entrepreneurs. Here the list of our 5 January favorites:

Art Rotterdam | Rotterdam

The 19th edition of Art Rotterdam is once again located in the iconic Van Nelle fabriek. For a large group of art lovers, Art Rotterdam is becoming more and more the annual moment to seize the opportunity and obtain a magnificent work of art. The fair offers an annual stage to the newest developments in visual art.

Furthermore, during Art Rotterdam, the entire city of Rotterdam is alive with different museum exhibitions, site fairs, open ateliers and pop-up shows. We especially love the platform Young Collectors Circle, guiding beginning art collectors to find their way through Art Rotterdam. You are going to the exhibition floor under the guidance of passionate collectors, which not only focus on how and why to collect, but also on practical issues such as prizes and presenting art at home. Sat 10 and Son 11 February, 2.00 pm. Limited number of places available. Open from 8 Feb to 11 Feb 2018.

Looking for the perfect place to stay during your visit to Amsterdam? Check out the music-inspired well designed rooms at Sir Adam. Located in the iconic A’DAM Tower, Sir Adam Hotel combines artful luxury with a hip, cool and creative location offering stunning views over Amsterdam.

With style and character, the lobby doubles as a busy burger joint and bar with the name The Butcher’s social club, with reception on a lounge mezzanine. Staff are lovely, upbeat and super friendly in an unforced way. We love the Seventies disco lift, complete with mirror ball, coloured-light floor tiles and great music. Let’s rock and enjoy your stay!

More and more artists and institutions are becoming aware of the opportunities being offered by this type of public financing. The first and largest crowdfunding platform for art projects in the Netherlands and expert in advising and guiding in all matters related to crowdfunding is voordekunst. Most projects are successfully accomplished, like the one Dutch designer Evaa Kuik (1989) started for her comeback fashionshow of EVAN Menswear.
